Richard Mille RM 35-03 'Rafael Nadal' is a technical circuit
Rafael Nadal is known for winning Grand Slams, but he also has a Grand Slam-quality watch collection thanks to Richard Mille and his illustrious team of watchmakers. In addition to owning an authentic Baller collection of rare and important timepieces, Nadal himself actually helped design many Richard Mille watches over the years. His latest collaboration is the Richard Mille RM 35-03 “Rafael Nadal”, a brand new technical achievement for the brand.
As an extension of the RM 035 collection, the Richard Mille RM 35-03 is available in two different colourways at launch, including a white quartz TPT case and a sky blue rubber strap, or a navy blue quartz TPT case and a white watch belt. Quartz TPT is a relatively unusual material in watchmaking, representing thin-layer technology, but favored by Richard Mille for its very strong and lightweight qualities.

While the Quartz TPT is strong and lightweight, the method of making it allows for the layered and colorful patterns that Richard Mille cases are known for. These cases are made using unidirectionally laid fiber sheets (which can be dyed in different colors), which are then laminated together in opposite directions to give them rigidity and strength.

Inside the case is an equally impressive technical ultra-light movement, the RMAL2 movement, which weighs just 4.3 grams. Skeleton movement with bridges and bridges in grade 5 titanium, double barrel, Glucydur free-spring balance with 55-hour power reserve.
What’s really cool about this automatic movement, however, is its owner’s built-in ability to adjust the inertia of the winding rotor to protect the movement while exercising. Like the wings of a butterfly, the rotors extend outward, counteracting their ability to spin by pressing the Sport mode button.
It's an impressive feat of watchmaking technology, but it doesn't surprise us to see this feat in the mind of Richard Mille, who continues to build his brand and manufacture in cutting-edge fashion Watch. All in all, this is a novel new feature for a Rafael Nadal watch that actually has great practical implications for elite tennis players.<
